Auntie A is a hidden diamond in
the rough in the heart of
Northport. Chef-owner Angela
Badolato (Auntie A) has put
her own decidedly
individualistic stamp on the
place that used to be
Michelangelo. Badolato, a
cheerful former caterer who,
tongue-in-cheek, calls herself
"The Angry Chef,"
started cooking when she was
about 14 years of age.She trained for many
years as a Garde Manager at the
Crest Hollow Country Club and
started her first catering
business “Tiger Lillies”
while still training. In addition to her
artistic design in food she is
an artist in her own and a has
been a Sculptor of ice for many
years.She attended school in
Calabri and cooked under Chef
Fabio Bertoni.
Auntie A’s love for good food
and fine dining took her to
Barcelona and Mexico where she
studied the latest
nou·veauof
infusions.She has trained and
worked all over the country, but
if you ask Auntie A she will
clearly tell you that her
favorite place to cook is right
here at home on Long Island.
